 About

Broad variety of background, education and experience contributes to great photography and presentations A computer approach is used to generate the Virtual Aerial Tours that are currently being produced as a new series.  These Tour Guides use 1080 HD video on Blu-Ray disc for maximum resolution and length of content.  My Original Concept from 1999 has been revised and improved.  This utilizes an overhead aerial viewpoint with both video and still imagery, intended to show a larger area around a route than can be attained from ground based photos. Once an avid backpacker, I completed most of the John Muir Trail and the High Sierra Trail.  Many years later, it is great to share the trail in a way that I could not have imagined then, although maps and photography have always been of interest. Remember, these tours are very interactive and your participation will yield the best results. NOTE,   These are not a:  slide show, video game, narration, music video, VR video, or traditional feature movie.

Beyond just topo maps….

The first realistic Bird’s Eye View of popular recreation areas is now even better! As such, for the best viewing experience, it is expected that a HD flat screen (16:9 format) be used in conjunction with a Blu-ray player, or for any DVD versions, at least a DVD Player.  A 4K resolution is NOT required or necessary. Any other older screen types or formats may produce undesirable results. Virtual Aerial Tours follow a standard format for aspect ratio, resolution, and navigation for today’s TV and computer systems. Available Titles and Descriptions,                     Read more about Virtual Aerial Tours… Virtual Terrain Tours has over the past 18 years, developed capabilities in many areas of interest.  With experience in aerial fire fighting using GIS mapping and tactical infrared/daylight cameras for fire observation (watch video), utilization of 360 degree VR video cameras on mobile mounts, True VIRTUAL REALITY Video,  RC multi-rotor helicopter based aerial photo and video techniques, and other novel and unique approaches to videography.   Most content can be created in anaglyph 3D.   Many situations can benefit from the above experience and capabilities. This is a Veteran Owned Business.
