Over the past several years, there has been a growing interest in comparing the appearance of the coast over time. Before and After shots reveal changes that otherwise would be missed, or can not be quantified in any meaningful way. Photos, GIS measurements and mapping combined become useful in creating a history of natural progression to better understand and convey findings to interested parties. By having a working relationship with several organizations, scientists and engineers, relevant imagery can be produced that meets their requirements. A sign-up sheet and $5 payment does not create a careful RC pilot/photographer. Good performance
comes from the caliber of person, their motives and relationship to others. That includes courtesy and
respect for people in the vicinity, plus safety is always a prime concern.
RC helicopter Aerial Photography requires an experienced operator, one who knows the
importance of proper and conscientious flying technique, and an understanding of what the client has in mind.
Since 2009, as one of a very few RC heli pilots doing careful and serious photography, long before
the “Drone Fad”, have developed a working relationship with many who desire a responsible photographer.
For quality and relevant results, it only makes sense to work with a mature knowledgeable individual with a
wide range technical / scientific education and experience that contributes to all meaningful projects.
Note about aerials…
Virtual Reality video is somewhat new. It uses special video that uploads to You-tube for
your tablet or phone.
This allows the viewer to rotate the screen so as to move the point of view within the panoramic
video. The orientation will match the direction that was used during filming.
Also, there are numerous VR goggles that give the viewer an enhanced sense of actually being
immersed in the video environment. These goggles, or VR Viewers, can be used with phones, or
computer with appropriate software and formatted video.
Derivative video can be produced from a VR camera that can be incorporated into standard video formats.
The result can be panoramic video merged with other types of content, such as photos or the regular video
perspective.
